disable iphone auto changing of volume due to loud surrounding noise?

im using a wired earphone with mic function(so basically the tip is with 3 lines) and i realised that while im riding bike or whenever there is big gust of wind blowing directly to the mic. my iphone 3gs auto change to another set of volume. im suspecting it apple noise detection function. so once loud noise is detected, iphone change it volume and it making me very unhappy with it. as during riding, the phone itself will just change the volume up and down all by itself. any idea that i can disable this auto ambient function beside using normal earphone?
